DIREK Achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification as Client Approves Expansion to 20 Sites

DIREK has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, marking an important milestone in our commitment to information security and the responsible use of building data. On the same day, an existing client approved a further 15 sites, bringing its planned DIREK deployment to 20.

Together, these developments reflect two priorities at DIREK: strengthening how we protect information and supporting customers as they expand building intelligence across their estates.

Strengthening information security

Our Information Security Management System has been independently assessed across the design, development, deployment, maintenance and support of our AI-powered occupancy monitoring, smart building analytics, digital twin, cloud software and IoT solutions.

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is an international standard for information security management. It sets requirements for managing information security risks and protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

For DIREK, achieving certification represents months of work on policies, processes, evidence and independent assessment. It strengthens the foundations for how we manage information security as we support increasingly complex building portfolios.

Why this matters for building owners and facilities teams

Building intelligence depends on data. Occupancy monitoring, connected sensors and analytics can help teams understand how spaces are used and where improvements are needed. Confidence in how that information is handled is essential.

Our certification provides independent assurance that the information security management processes within our certified scope have been assessed against an internationally recognised standard.

It supports our commitment to protecting building data through clear responsibilities, controlled access, risk management and continual improvement.

From one office to a planned 20-site deployment

Alongside the certification, an existing client approved another 15 sites for rollout.

The relationship began with a single office before expanding to four. The latest approval brings the planned deployment to 20 sites—a significant step in the customer’s continued use of DIREK.

Moving from an initial deployment to a wider estate is an important expression of customer confidence. It also reinforces the need for consistent delivery, support and information security as the relationship grows.

Building intelligence grounded in trust

These milestones recognise the work of the DIREK team across information security and customer delivery.

As we prepare for the next phase of rollout, our focus remains on helping customers make better building decisions, supported by trusted data and responsible information management.
